I hate to badger you guys about this, but i'm just so excited! I want this camera for a specific mission trip i'm going on in July and would hate to order it and not have it by then. I was wondering if you could give me a very rough estimate (I know theres a waiting list) as to when you'll be shipping these out/how long it will take to distribute them. I know it says early 2012, but early as in January, or as in April(ish)?
Again, with this mission trip, i'll be limited as to how often/how long i'll be able to charge the lytro. Is there an estimate as to how long the battery (with a full charge) lasts?
Thanks so much for the help and for the awesome product!
Rachel

UPDATED ANSWER:
If you order today [March 13 or later], your estimated shipping window will fall during May or June of this year. Note that we send out a reminder email roughly a week before your credit card is charged, so you have nothing to lose by ordering now and securing your place in line, since you can cancel at any time before we charge your card.
The battery will generally support shooting 400+ pictures on a single full charge. If you spend a great deal of time reviewing and deleting your pictures, you may not get quite as many shots per charge.
When will the Camera with Window's be available? The site will not allow me to 'buy' a camera now to be placed on the wait list. Please advise. So excited!
I have used my Lytro until I killed the battery twice since I got it 10 days ago. 350+ on the first pass 450+ on the send pass.
I was curious so I shot rapid random shots to either fill the 16GB or kill the battery. I had shot 350 shots, then 450 shots on a full battery but over longer periods of time (a few hours) the first couple of days. I got 750 shots in 15 minutes today. Battery was only down to 80%. It is possible to drain storage and battery but it takes effort.
I locked it up for the first time. Think I overheated it (imagine that). It wouldn't turn off. Took a while to get it to reset. Took quite while to unload all 753 files!
