Android App, Bluetooth support, oh my

Enough said, everything is moving to mobile devices.  Please create an android app.  Given the power of the android platform it would be nice to even see the ability to load or interact with stored photos (on the camera) via bluetooth or usb.  Loading them to the actual device may not be realistic given the Lytro library and its potential size.

Android app please, and plug in for Photoshop.  I use PS exclusively for photo editing and this product would be a great addition.

Having reviewed some of the shortcomings of the iOS app, I'd like to ask that the Android version also include a feature to remotely control the shutter.  Perhaps you can have the viewfinder display to the android device and control all settings such as custom, manual (iso and shutter) and point of focus all from the android screen and then trigger the shutter button.  The benefits here are incredible; addressing the difficulty of viewing the lytro view finder in bright sun light, allows for pictures to be taken without touching the camera (a requirement for professionals), and I'm sure others can think of many more.

I need an Android app to move this camera off of the back of my desk and into the world. Right now it is a paperweight. A Photoshpr app would be great also.

Well I would greatly appreciate an android app.   But I would also give higher vote to getting a photoshop app where we can play with the layers then export back into Lytro desktop

Given another Desktop beta has already started along with other projects within Lytro, I feel it fair to ask where is this on the list of priorities.  It seems that it should be fairly high given the strong demand and that the iOS version was released already.  This is extremely frustrating...

I am anti-Apple; therefore, I do not own any Apple products. An Android app should be your dev. team priority otherwise whats the point of owning a Lytro Camera if you can't utilize all of its capabilities? The wi-fi feature should have the ability to be accessed via your home wireless network as well, not just a direct connection to the camera

Thanks!

It would be great to have this on android. I have switched platforms for my mobile and I can easily find so many android versions of my other major apps. I am a huge fan and supporter of the Lytro camera it would be great if Lytro could support this platform so that I can continue to show people this amazing technology.

I would love to buy a Lytro camera, I love the idea of it.  But as it supports neither my mobile (Android), nor desktop (Linux) operating systems, it's totally out for me.  At least until Lytro either starts supporting Linux and Android, or I go Mac and iOS.

Fuckin the largest and most successfull mobile community on earth (android) is really NOT the best idea u at LYTRO had. and dont tell us that bullshit about developer not capable or no time for it. sorry, instead adding new "gfx editing" features you better release a android version first.

meanwhile u do unlock the plugins (e.g. for wordpress) and may release the lytro-gallery under GPL so ppl can host THEIR OWN gallery and also are able to SYNC TO THEIR OWN gallery instead to LYTRO's one.

Sorry, but right now i got a cam with a nice potential but i cannot use that potential because LYTRO does not provide the freedom of choice for the customer WHERE to manage ONLINE his pictures, does not provide mobile tools (sorry, iOS is NOT usefull)

Maybe some stupid PR guy at ur office thinks these Apple-methods may make ur product more popular but this is wrong. Popular gets the fact that customers dont get the tools and dont get the possibilites to use the cam as THEY may want it.

yes, im using a gallery at your site, BECAUSE I GOT NO CHOICE! i would prefer hosting it myself, which is NOT supported by YOU nor the desktop-software.

btw; 9/10 ppl asking me about the cam also ask about the android software. and yes in 100% if i tell them that i wait for it and no progress so far and that im bound to the LYTRO website for gallery, they just say "screw it".

read the comments: IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!

I am tired of waiting for an Android app. My Lytro was just put away with sever unusable file cameras. It is about as useful to me as they are. This camera was a total waste of time.

Would love an update on the development of the Android app...6 months?  a year? If it's not really a priority it would just be good to know.  Thanks guys!

Camera has been sold.

I got tired of waiting.

I just hope lack of support does not kill off the "lightfield" technology you so rave about.
